I've always loved comics, so hopefully Yangi would be willing to post the ones she's done/is working on here. Have to be honest though not entirely sure if the comic on your site is meant to be classified as W.I.T.C.H or J.R.O.C.K considering when it takes place.

It's about the old generation, so I would put it here. However it builds a bridge as well to my next generation, which is just a practical side effect The new Comic "Shadows of Truth" has a face! It's the 2 parted story of Taranee and how she became oracle in my Next Generation "JROCK int". The first part is called "Dawn of Yunesse" The Prologue page 1: More to come....

Almost finished LineArt of Page 2
So I havn't been posting much recently. But since I had worked on the second page some time ago, I decided to finish the rough LineArt for now, so you have a short preview of whats up. Since I still have commissions pending, I'm not sure when I'll get the finished Version with coloring and stuff but I guess this is better then nothing, right? Besides I really like that page... not sure why.
I was thinking about making the three shadows look more like shadows. But that'll be something for the effects afterwards. Oh yeah and whoever invented Kandrakar was truely sick! Geez I grew to hating that stupid fortress with all ist many Windows!!!

Yeah I'm still not used to posting unfinished stuff like Sketches and so on. Usually I post them AFTER the Picture is finished. But since I'm so inactive lately I was browsing through my current running Projects and picked some stuff to get posted here so you have something to look at. I often Forget those exist, until I have the time to finish them up.
The three shadow women are actually inspired by that one Picture I drew of Cole. Remember? Shadows of a king or so. Well they Play a slightly different role from back then, but the idea is certainly origined there.

Page 01 with Text
I've been working the whole Thing up and made some changes in teh text. The first part of "Shadows of Truth" will have 12 pages, or rather 13, where the last ones will only have one big Picture on them instead of 2. The second, called "Lost Wishes, New Dreams" will Focus on the scars (fig.) caused by the Encounter the Guardians had in "Dawn of Yunesse" and how the new Guardians were Chosen. In both parts, Taranee will Play the main role.

W.i.t.c.h. Sovereigns
Hooray! I'm finally ready to officially and actively start working on the W.i.t.c.h. sequel comic. Unlike the first trial for a W.i.t.c.h. comic, this one is set directly after the last official issue #139.
I'm so super excited!!!

Not really a comment here about the Sovereign page since I've already seen it and I'm pretty certain I said then how much I loved it. But I just like the small W.I.T.C.H icons all placed together before the comic page. Minor thing I know, but I still like it!
And of course, yes I do love the comic page itself. I still feel Yan Lin seeing W.I.T.C.H in their first forms there was a nice touch. Outside of it being Yan Lin herself its very much like a beginning and end point with the other half of the pic for W.I.T.C.H's comic before you start this new one.

So, here's something. I scrolled over the pics here before I had gotten to your posting of that page and this is something on my mind. The shadow beings from Shadows of Truth, the evil looking women made by the king. I've always been curious about, what the thing with them is if there is anything.
You used them for Shadows of Truth, but weren't they also used for Cole in a really old pic? Only then they were just shadowy figures. I've always been really curious about them.

Jep, I was bold enough to just use the same idea twice! And who knows... I might end up using it thrice XD I never really thought much about them. They are very classy, too. Three is a magical number that people love to use. Three women especially appears often in mythology. It's a nice number, and a good amount of villains to face W.i.t.c.h. or, in the case of Cole, a good number of evil underlings.
In both stories, the three shadows are being called upon by a king. So maybe only a king is able to call to their service? And in both stories the shadows break free quickly from their bonds to the king through trickery. They are clever and don't like being imprisoned or held from their own purposes. They had "a debt to settle" with Kandrakar (destroying it... throwing it into chaos... whatever), which is why they directly fly to the fortress after breaking free in the Shadows of Truth comic. I never defined what exactly that was. They just bring chaos and doom, and darkness.
They come from a certain realm from which they cannot escape on their own. They have to be called or summoned. They can "creep into the minds of people" and are stopped by a sacrifice. Someone has to take in all three of them and sort of seal their darkness away inside the own body. Not many are capable of taking in so much soul energy, not to mention chaos and darkness. So it takes an exceptional being or person to do it. The creatures are sealed and bound by the soul of that special person.
The sacrifice can't keep on living with so much soul energy twined together rather chaotically so they fall into a kind of sleep or koma. If the binding should weaken due to the body decaying or whatever, the body needs to be thrown into the realm of shadows, to ensure the creatures can't escape again.
It's quite cool, now that I read it over again haha! Maybe I might use them again for the Sovereign comic? I don't know. If you want to use them for something, feel free to. I don't see a reason why we both can't use them and if we're honest, I did come up with the idea for your character Cole, so... I guess the rights somewhere hang between the two of us.
I guess the body (and rest of the soul) of that person

I didn't mind the fact of you using the idea again. In fact I liked it more considering that they got updated designs and weren't just shadowy figures. I wouldn't mind if you used them a third time either. Honestly I think I might prefer it just to see more things done with them. Something about them is just so interesting to me.
Interesting. I don't recall the turning traitorous part for Cole's thing. I thought Cole's picture had him as the one who actually created him not simply summoned them. I kinda figured that was part of the reason for their shadowy forms as they were just recently created.
Hmm, well, not sure if I'd use them or not. Even though they are very interesting to me. And the own ownership thing, I'd say would border more on just you really since you created them. If I did use them I don't know if I'd give them the same history, so it seems that at the very least there wouldn't be any similarities to origin for them. If something comes to mind for them, then I'd I'll let you know.
I do think it'd be interesting for them to appear in the Sovereign comic. Honestly I never felt they fit right with the king from Shadows of Truth. I don't know why, I think I just felt like they seemed better with their own thing and he his own thing.

True, he created them. But then again, maybe that's why they can only be summoned by a king? They were created by one, once and after they betrayed their creator, he made sure only kings could summon them. Or only kings have enough strength or power to open the seal of the real of shadows? ...Royals in general maybe. Throne... people. Either way, summoning them can't be easy since otherwise Phobos probably would've done it. Unless he didn't know about them. So either that or he wasn't able to perform the ritual properly. He's only prince so... that could be a reason. He lacked the kinglyness.
I put them onto my list for Sovereign Comic villains and then I'll check where I could put them in. I might change it to 2 women and one man, though. I already have a character I'd love to use again, too and he would fit really nicely to two shadow women.

Maybe. But that's on an old point and probably something I'd look into changing I used them. They could in theory still be created by a king, but doesn't mean that king is the only one who can summon them. Could say something like someone created them and other people can summon them, but they have to offer something up for it and it makes their creator stronger in the process.
Well Phobos has been stuck on Meridian, so it makes sense if there is a lot of things outside of Meridian that he isn't very aware of.
That could be another different change there. As I think I'm fine with the three women. I really wouldn't even know which one to change if I did decide to change one.

Oooh! Idea! What if they are made of a similar materia as the Shadow of the Heart? Maybe the Shadow in the Heart grows for some reason and then calls on the Three Shadows! That could be really awesome! The Heart of Kandrakar could somewhat become scizophrenic. Sometimes it will take the right decision and other times the Shadow takes over and for example teleports them to a different place than expected or summons these three Shadows.
It's just another idea. Both with the male character and with the Shadow Heart being involved. I'll think some more on these and then at a later point decide what I want to do.
I guess the male character could be their brother or something. Or they sort of create a new Shadow shortly before dying or being defeated and that new Shadow is my male character. I think that's even nicer.
Another option would be that Dim called the Shadows and that's why he plays a bigger role, too.
But right now I like him being something of a safecopy or "child" of the three the most.

Hmm, seems possible. But my question there would be why just three? Since its feeding on the Heart I kinda figure there should be five since there is five elemental powers connected with the Heart. Maybe they can use darker versions of the elements like dark fire for example. Maybe upon their creation they separate the Shadow from the Heart making it their own Heart? And feeding off of the power of the Heart they may have gained some power from each Keeper throughout history since each of them wielded the same Heart.
Who exactly is this male character of yours? Is it this Dim character you've mentioned?

No I just mean they were summoned by the Heart. Not that they are linked to it or feed on it. It's more like the Heart creates some magic impulse that sets them free. Besides the Shadow of the Heart was created through five dark elemental ragprlangs so that would be too vlose to the original story. And I'm not that big of a fan of dark selves.
Yeah. Not aure if you remember him. He appeared really short in the JROCK storirs. He is one of my favorite characters or rather... villains. He has a cruel, chile-like behavior, always grinning madly. He has longer fingernails and his fingers and part of the hand and lower arms are black green with poison.
In the JROCK story he was one of the servants ir rather... right hand of Shade. The big villainess. But like I said, his appearance so far was always really short. I think there are only two short text passages where he appears.

Ah, I see. Well I wasn't meaning dark selves, which I often don't care for either. It's not dark versions of the girls. They are their own unique beings. They just possess darker versions of the elements that W.I.T.C.H have. Like a dark fire meant burn someone on impact and leave the mark. I don't recall Taranee's fire doing that. But that is just an idea for it. There is better specifics that could be considered for it outside of that.
Sorry, but I don't really recall him. Its been so long since I've read the JROCK stories. But I tend to go back and look at older pictures and reading older things. So I'll likely get to it soon.

Hrmpf. I'm going back and forth on the whole cover issue again. Should I focus on finding a cover for the first issue right now or should I focus on just posting some kind of promotion picture and then the first pages of the comic and work on the actual cover for issue 01 later?
Maybe I'll be able to sketch around again soon and then I can post all the different ideas here and we can see if there's something fitting for the first issue as a cover. If not, I'll just go with the one I like the most personally or whatever and use it as a simple promotion poster or so.

I really feel you should have it all decided before working on the story itself. Be it a promotional image or a comic cover. One or both; whichever you decide. I feel should be done first. I guess that's because for my; I like to have everything else I possible can be decided of things that involve the first issue of anything. All so I can just solely focus on the story itself.
Well you constantly seem to be hitting a wall. So you may be to that point where you'll just have to pick which picture you like the best amongst each of the ones you've done. I've never looked at them close together before, so posting them here for us to go over could help with deciding something. In the meantime I'll try and see if I can come up with some other ideas that might help.

Here's my current version for the new Sovereign designs.
I'm not 100% sure if I'll go with them just yet but this is the version I like by far the most and feel most comfortable with for each of the girls. What's funny is, that if you look at the other designs that I used to base this last version on, this one is the one that is the most in the direction of the very first uniform set, WITCH has ever had. Cornelia has this rather open neck part with her shoulders almost showing and the long skirt with a side slit, Tara has her top with pointy shoulders and some pants, Irma has a similar neckline too though the skirt is more like her NewPower outfits. Will and Hay Lin are the ones that don't go too much into the direction of their former outfits.
Currently I like Tara's and Irma's the most. So those are probably keepers. The others I might experiment some more with. Feel free to share your opinion what you like or don't like or liked better in one of the versions below.
As a reminder, these are a mixture of the designs JustNeus did for me and my own designs which you can see below:

I like the newest ones you did way more then the first ones. The first ones were, alright. But Cornelia's was really the only one I really liked. And I really did like it. Those newer ones overall I'd pic hands-down. The first Cornelia one is still pretty good though. so a little torn between that one and the newer one. In the end I think I'd lean towards the newer one. The new Irma one though, I think that is my favorite amongst all of them.
JustNeus did a wonderful job as well. Maybe at some point I could see if he/she would take a chance at drawing some uniforms for CHAOS. Just to see what he/she'd do different. I think there might be bits that JustNeus did that I like a bit more. But perhaps overall your newest ones would be my favorite grouping of them.

I just did a couple of changes. What do you think about this version? The problem with JustNeus' outfit set is, that it a) doesn't have any swirls except for Taranee's outfit, so I had to edit it to add swirls and keep the whole magic thing b) doesn't use the "rule" of one outfit consisting of two colours. Most of her designs are green but I would like to stick to the uniform rules the comic has set. While Nerissa has an outfit that is entirely green, the WITCH girls keep their green-violet scheme through all transformation forms. So I wanted to try and keep them around for this one, too. Which outfit and hair style of Taranee do you like best? I also changed Will's outfit a little and Hay Lin's and Cornelia's.
