Hehe I'm not entirely sure about it yet. Depends on how the voices of my friends will work out with the song and so on.
Yeah I tried making a band loads of times but it never really worked out either.
The new JROCK cover is up by the way! I put it in the Book1 instead for the old cover so check it out! Maybe I'll post it in the Gallery later too.

I'd say you should at least do one yourself, if for no other reason then to just peak my own curiosity to hear you sing. I've been trying to think of some other things that you might be able to consider for merchandise.

Haha XD Well I'll have to sing it first anyways to let the others know how the melody goes. If they sing along or take over some parts of the song etc I don't know yet. Depends on their interest and how their voices work with the song. Hihi thank you! I'm very proud of it. Waaaaaaay better then the one before. Love the ghosty Version in the back  Uh really?! I think you should also post it in the gallery, just so it could be there as well.

I have noticed with the new cover that O-Hani's hair is dark brown and Rukia's is more of a black now. Are those official changes now or just how the colors ended up being in that picture?

They're official changes. CC's hair is also not as dark as before. I made quite some interesting changes in the planned stories too and I'm testing out something else concerning that but I won't tell much more since I'm not sure if it'll work.

I had noticed that about CC as well, but I didn't think her change was as big as O-Hani's an Rukia's as they had went through complete changes, while CC still looks generally the same just a tiny bit of a difference.
Well, you could show it to me through e-mail instead whatever you are testing, that way it doesn't have to actually be posted anywhere encase you feel it doesn't work out.
Its something NIkly and I do quite a bit. I'm always testing things with my characters from looks, to personality traits, and pretty much any and everything else and she does it a little bit with the occasional character of hers. We just keep it between each other to see how things work out and feel without any issues if things don't work out.

I'm really not sure if you'll like it. But I really think it's making everything a lot better and I was driving towards it unconciously anyways so better now then later... What I can say is: It doesn't involve the death of any character! So no worries there. But it does involve a possible game and it definately involves the books.
Maybe a bit confusing but don't worry. You won't have to wait much longer. I'm pretty much decided by now so only a few tests here and there and then I'll reveal my thoughts to everyone. Hopefully you'll like it or at least accept it.

THE BIG CHANGE!!!
A while back I distanced my JROCK Adventures entirely from Disney's WITCH. This has several reasons, that would be too complicated to write down, you can ask them via personal message.
I made some big changes with the character's backstories and made most of them a lot more complex and deeper. That also means, that most of the Pictures and chapters etc. uploaded here are outdated.
I'm not sure yet, how I will work this out, whether I'll delete all the old stuff to make room for the new or if I'll just leave the old things here since it's the beginning of everything... Really don't know yet.

That is a bit of an interesting predicament. Do away with older things that no longer fit and just stick with newer more fitting things or keep both options to see how things were and how they are or just keep them because they are your characters old versions or not.
I've actually gone over the same thing with my pictures. I have some really old pictures that I wonder if I should keep considering they no longer fit my character's design.

I'll definately keep the things on my PC or in my Archive, so that's not the issue. I love to one day browse through the things and see where everything originated. Also sometimes even old pictures can inspire to new characters, some styles or whatnot. I never throw anything away when it comes to drawings and story stuff, you could say XD I'm a story/picture messy! XD
Yeah but I guess I'll leave the old things on for now and, after the new things have been build up a bit more I'll delete from this page.

Well I wouldn't be completely getting rid of my older things either. Since there was that incident with my one flash-drive months ago I have numerous copies of everything in various places. My meaning is that I'd like to be able to have a specific folder that would be like my main folder in regard to pictures and it just being for things that are fitting with how things are. While the older ones are in another folder that I wouldn't go to often unless I wanted to do something like see how things one were or something like that.

Yeah that's what I do too Either I have a folder titled OLD in my project structure where everything old get's "dumped" into or I have two different folders. In this cas I have both. I have a whole Project structure for the old JROCK stories and then I have an entirely new for Voices of Ilya. But since the main characters are the same as JROCK only developed much further, I took few pictures and infos into an "old" folder to have it at hand whenever I need it. Good safety measure too if something get's lost or so. I was thinking, that I might REBUILD this section "Story and Character discussion" too. I'll save the contet into a file so I'll have it when I need it but for organisation matters it would be a lot clearer if this would only be about Voices of Ilya soon. Just so you don't wonder if one day there's suddenly everything deleted here. But as said I'll make a copy of it so if there's something you need you can ask me. |

The second chapter of Voices of Ilya is almost finished! I have the Feeling it turned out even better than the first one. Maybe because it mainly contains new storyparts instead of basing on an old one. Anyways I want to get it up after the next Weekend latest.

Wow havn't posted much here lately.
As you might have already noticed, the second chapter of "Voices of Ilya" is already up.
Other than that I really want to start the promotion comic but I'll probably won't have time for that until next year.
Anyways right now I'm considering something christmasy for the girls. Some short story maybe or... small picture... currently I'm more for the story. Maybe add a small cover picture later on.
So what's a good story to tell? The classy one is baking cookies... hanging the tree, the three ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, Santa claus, wishlists, self made presents... anything I missed? Christmas carols, aka singing...

I'm partial to something Santa Claus related. I'm really not even sure how you'd tell something with the three ghosts. Who'd even play a Scrooge like role in a story like that?

Man it's so confusing with the art style!
I mean I kind of personalized the Disney style a bit to mine... so that would be okay. Maybe I'll only change the noses a bit after all and stick to that style otherwise... I mean the other one is cool too but kind of... weird... *sigh*
I was thinking about making three versions of the same character, same pose, same clothing etc, just to get an overview of the three different styles (Original WITCH, Personalized Disney, latest Ilya picture style)
I think that's the best way to get an overview and see which one would be the most resonable one to choose...

That's a good idea. You can have them all three of them standing close together so its easier for comparison. Maybe you could even add a poll here for a while to get other people's opinions on the matter.

Yeah I was kind of thinking the same thing. About the poll I mean. Then I'd have it up here and at the "VoicesOfIlya" account on DeviantArt and hopefully I'll get some good opinions.
I had a different idea yesterday.
I could keep them in my personalized disney style for the game and cards and comics and whatever, and only make special posters in my mature drawing style... Not sure if that would work but I've had an idea for an epic kind of picture series that I'd like to try out.

Yeah I think I just really have to sit down and go over my five characters to see which art style works best for me, to express them properly; what I finally want them to look like, what kind of fighting they will do, what kind of uniforms would be most probable for that etc etc. I think it's a good time for that now. Had some ideas already but really just have to concern myself with it for a day, then make the above named art comparison - probably with Hyona since she's the one I'm mostly having trouble with and then jsut see how things turn out.

Woho! I'm starting to get creative again!
Had another idea for a cover/poster/artwork for Voices of Ilya today and will start concepting in my lunch break.
Also I had a great idea who/what will be the big evil in book 2. I already had the evil for book 1 and book 3 but somehow book 2 was kind of left out. But now I know! I don't know the exact details and everything but don't worry, you will see something of that soon since I'm planning on doing those "cover" pictures next week in my vacation days.
So just to get it written down somewhere I'll make a list what artworks that are:
- Voices of Ilya Cover (Sketch already in Gallery)
- Book 2 Teaser Cover (parts of it already in the Gallery - See Jules and the Guardian)
- Artwork "See them run"
- Artwork "Big Three"

Yeah I was kind of out of it for three weeks, which is pretty long for me. But I'm very much creative at the moment and am having great ideas that actually work so I'll gladly share this creativity with you! *throw creative vibes*
I used to joke around with a friend of mine how we were sharing vibes and thoughts and stuff more if we each opened our window XD We don't live in the same town so we used to phone a lot. If we had a misunderstanding it was of cause always because one of us had forgotten to open the window haha!

Since I grew very fond of my two newest side characters for the Voices of Ilya adventures with every day that passes and already have some good ideas for scenes for those two, I'm considering turning them into a smaller book.
For now they are planned to be the two characters I will be playing in the Voices of Ilya RPG. I might hand one of them over to a dear friend I'm very used to RPGing with. In any case I just felt like sharing these thoughts.
My vacation has been accepted by my boss so I will have some free time over the weekend to continue setting up everything for the RPG Forum, finishing a commission that's still open and hopefully at least making some sketches of the two.
By the way, their names are Enrie and Aiden. More about them as soon as I have some pictures or sketches to show or latest in their character section in the RPG.
